Summary/Abstract: The application and popularity of artificial intelligence is growing more and more in the world. Also, investments in Al are increasing. Artificial intelligence has the potential to transform the way people innovate, conduct and organize business and impact all areas of the economy. This paper investigates the degree of application of Al in different regions and makes a comparative analysis of the regions, as well as a comparison by economic branches. The continent of North America leads the way in research and investment in artificial intelligence, followed by Europe. On the other hand, Asia lags behind North America and Oceania in the quality of research, which is reflected in lower citation rates regarding the application itself. South America currently lags significantly behind other regions, but progress in AI adoption is visible. The implementation of AI varies by industry. Results are visible in healthcare where artificial intelligence improves diagnostic efficiency and personalized treatments. In banking, generative AI in particular is increasing productivity, improving decision-making and developing customer service through applications such as chatbots and facial recognition. Retail and consumer goods trade benefit from AI by streamlining customer service, marketing and inventory management.
