Summary/Abstract: The cooperative organizational form has existed for more than a century. It is applicable under different conditions and in different economic systems. It is most widespread in the agricultural sector, where biological, economic and social processes take place naturally. Agriculture is one of the most dynamic sectors in Bulgaria. Provoked by many factors, agricultural producers are constantly looking for different options to increase and improve the quality of their production, and to provide it to the end consumer at an affordable price, from which they can have the necessary economic benefit. One of the best options to achieve this goal is direct selling or so-called “short selling”. The main objective of this report is to explore the possibilities for the impact of cooperatives on the market of Bulgarian agricultural products.
