Summary/Abstract: Beekeeping is a green economy based on renewable resources with waste-free and environmentally friendly production. It forms green industries, services, markets and ecosystem benefits - healthy products and services, genetic resources, cultural heritage, beautiful landscapes, etc., which ensure sustainable development and food security. The aim is to study the role and importance of beekeeping for the green economy. The EU should provide policies and support for the ecosystem services provided by beekeeping, given its low profitability and symbiosis with many other sectors, as they will have a very broad and beneficial impact - ecological, economic, social, etc. Marketing strategies for regional beekeeping are needed, because they close the loop from resources to the consumption of bee products, improve profitability and biodiversity and reduce waste and pollution. Marketing strategies are in tune with the green economy and have an important role for its application by beekeeping and other farms.
