Summary/Abstract: I have been working in the field of distance learning in UNWE – Sofia for over twenty years. The problems that arise in order to build good and useful distance learning for teachers and students often stem from the inability to handle the selected educational software and the lack of understanding of how to prepare educational materials for publication so that they are quickly accessible and easily understandable by students and pupils. In a social aspect, accounting, as a science, is the economic reflection of sustainable development. The sustainability accounting system is used in relation to the impact on society and the environment.
