Summary/Abstract: Sustainable development requires active individual engagement, particularly among students as future change-makers. This study examined the environmental awareness of medical students enrolled in the Pharmacy and Medical Laboratory Diagnostics study programs through an interactive workshop that introduced key ecological concepts. Focusing on the ecological footprint as a measure of individual impact, participants used the ClimateHero calculator to analyze their energy consumption, travel habits, and dietary choices. The exercise revealed how daily decisions ‒ though seemingly small ‒ collectively shape planetary health. While single actions may appear insignificant, their cumulative effect is critical for reducing CO₂ emissions and conserving resources. Results highlight the need for continuous environmental education. As future professionals and decision-makers, students play a pivotal role in advancing sustainable practices. Change begins with awareness, and initiatives like this workshop can catalyze broader societal transformation toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
