Summary/Abstract: Innovation and technology are primary accelerators driving the transformation in modern public governance towards higher levels of public trust, legitimacy and accountability, along with anticipatory and creative solutions in the public environment that foster civic and youth engagement of younger generations. Good practices of anticipatory governance models reveal new avenues for effective civic initiatives in EU countries in the context of smart cities, public AI-based apps, collaborative approaches and construction of innovative ecosystems, labs and shared spaces for co-creation of ideas in governance, contributing to the positive impact assessment of public space innovations. The article presents opportunities for innovative public governance in Bulgaria, through the OECD strategic framework and guidelines for building capacity and public integrity culture, through reforms. Inspired by Osborne and Gabler's ideas about the enterpreneurial spirit and anticipatory governance, the article refers to surveys on public trust and the OECD recommendations on public integrity scan for Bulgaria from (2022 – 2023), in the horizon of the country's upcoming accession to the OECD, which may help overcome limitations and systemic problems or accelerate development on a macro-scale.
