Summary/Abstract: The objective of this study is to analyze health care access by irregular migrants in the COVID-19pandemic in the United States during 2020. The government of this country, under the presidency ofDonald Trump, abandoned the human rights approach, which severely affected this population. Thissituation resulted in a lack of full access to health care for these individuals due to various obstacles, indicating that they had a high probability of contracting COVID-19. The methodological approach wasbased on the analysis of documents and the use of databases from the Global Health Security Index, the National Center for Health Statistics and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Wefind that limited access to health care for this segment of the population increased their health vulnerabilitycompared to other social groups as a result of the public policies of President Donald Trump’sadministration.
