Summary/Abstract: This article attempts to answer the question whether and to what extent the coronavirus pandemic inBrazil is a matter of health and preservation of human lives and how far it is a means of daily politicalsettling of scores. The main findings of the research indicate that the decline in Jair Bolsonaro’spopularity in Brazil was significantly due to poor health policy during the coronavirus pandemic. Thefinding is that the pandemic will eventually take a back seat in the Brazilian political discourse dueto the consequences of the war in Ukraine. In our research we have used the case study method andcomparative analysis.
