Summary/Abstract: Argentina’s new external debt crisis has led to a restructuring of liabilities with different groups ofcreditors. This chapter explores the strategies used in those negotiations in order to analyse the resultsachieved. In addition, it evaluates the technical developments and specific problems encountered in theprocess, in order to identify lessons and tools to be used in the context of an international debt crisis thatcould force several countries to renegotiate with their creditors in the near future.
