Summary/Abstract: The events occurring in today’s operational environment reveal the need to establish an equivalency between modern war and hybrid war. This relatively new way of conducting war comes with great challenges for all the pillars of a nation’s resilience system, and gives a significant advantage to the one that employs hybrid warfare in the most creative, coherent and effective way. Hybrid warfare, as a combination of conventional and non-conventional actions, carried out through a combination of conventional and non-conventional capabilities, has become the usual way by which actors are trying to prevail in their conflicts, and there are many aspects of hybrid warfare that need to be explored, in order to find ways to counter it. This qualitative research endeavor aims to explore the role that critical infrastructure protection has in enhancing national resilience, by analyzing the effects of the various hybrid actions, employed in modern conflicts, on critical infrastructure.
