Summary/Abstract: Mission command is the essential principle whose application supports the achievement of the objectives of an operation in environments with complex physiognomies where operational uncertainties can have a particular impact on the achievement of conditions that characterize a remarkable vision. Through this approach, I intend to fulfill an analysis of how the geographical particularities of the maritime and riverian operational environment can impact on the pillars that support the application of the mission command, as well as identifying the main essential elements that favor the exercise of centralized command and decentralized execution everything based on clear intention, competence, mission orders, mutual trust, shared understanding, disciplined initiative and risks acceptance.
