Summary/Abstract: The relevance of the psychological aspects of the topic is related to the role of police informants in the detection, interception and prevention of crimes. The present empirical study is aimed at establishing the attitudes, preferences and methods of working with different categories of informants of operatives and the influence on this interaction of the socio-demographic profile of the employees. The object of the empirical study are operatives directly working with informants in their professional activity. We carried out the empirical verification of the hypotheses through a blitz survey specially prepared for them.
