Summary/Abstract: The multi-component nature of the security system in today's changing security environment – dynamic, more often unpredictable – is directly related to the formation of intelligence capabilities for the country. In the complex geopolitical and geostrategic situation, the question of the state and priorities of intelligence structures as part of the security system is debatable, the answers to which are not only ambiguous, contradictory, but also necessary for adequate counteraction to any destructive actions that would threaten national borders and the security of citizens.
