Summary/Abstract: This article explores the socio-demographic characteristics of Malian bloggers and the uses they make of blogs. Many studies have been made on blogs in the United States, Canada, Europe and Arabian countries, but no study has been done to our knowledge on the uses of blogs in Mali and in other French-speaking African countries. This study aims to fill this gap. The data of this research is based on the content analysis of thirty-five Malian individual blogs, the corpus of which was constituted from articles published in November 2020, December 2020 and January 2021. Given that the studies on the blogosphere Malian are exceedingly rare, or even non-existent, this article is principally exploratory. The results of our research show that Malian bloggers are students and young graduates, who use their blogs to express themselves on public affairs (politics, education, human rights, gender-based violence, etc.). Finally, the results show that most bloggers have a limited use of blogging. The average Malian blog posts an article every two months, which falls short of the best practice guidelines that a blog should post as regularly as possible to have an impact.
