Summary/Abstract: Electronic money (e-money) represents one of the most important innovations in the modern financial sector, enabling faster, safer, and more efficient transactions. With the development of information and communication technologies, e-money has become a key instrument in the liberalization of financial markets, creating opportunities for new participants, increasing competition, and reducing dependence on traditional banking institutions. This paper analyzes the concept of electronic money, its impact on the liberalization of financial markets, the regulatory framework, advantages and challenges, as well as prospects for further development.
