Summary/Abstract: Despite formal commitment to the principles of inclusion and equality, educational institutions often fail to provide conditions that would enable students with disabilities to achieve equal academic development, psychosocial security, and a sense of belonging in practice. This work is based on an analysis of contemporary scientific and institutional literature, categorizing obstacles into three key segments: physical, digital, and systemic. Special attention is given to so-called invisible disabilities, as well as student experiences that demonstrate how technical support is not sufficient without broader institutional sensitivity and active student participation in creating such institutional policies. By examining existing support mechanisms in higher education, the work highlights the challenges faced by students with disabilities due to insufficiently adapted institutional frameworks. The importance of customized educational models for learning, flexible academic procedures, and accessible support services that do not rely on the goodwill of individuals, but rather on clear institutional standards, is emphasized. The aim of the paper is to highlight the essential difference between declarative and actual inclusion, and to contribute to the development of educational practices that respect diversity and respond to the real needs of students with disabilities.
