Summary/Abstract: This paper proposes a linguistic analysis of polytical advertising employed analyse some of the linguistic features of political advertising in Romania, during the 2024 electoral campaign in Romania. One of our objectives is to analyse the specific linguistic features that contribute to the persuasive power of these advertisements. We propose an investigation into the textual typologies utilized, encompassing genres such as slogans, manifestos, and narrative constructions. Furthermore, we will examine a range of tones adopted, from assertive and authoritative to empathetic and how these tones are strategically deployed to resonate with target demographics. Ultimately, we aim to understand how these linguistic elements work in concert to achieve the primary goals of political advertising: to amplify the visibility of candidates, to shape public perception, and to ultimately influence voting behavior by ensuring messages are not only heard, but also deeply remembered.
