Summary/Abstract: The problem of crime and community security is a particularly complex one, generating specialized discussions. In the context of the exponential reduction in the presence of the members of the United Nations mission in Haiti, we have witnessed, in recent years, an alarming deterioration of the security conditions, with reverberations on the quality of life of citizens and with an impact on the regional balance. We propose an overview of Haiti's country profile and an analysis of the latest actions implemented to stabilize the situation, in the light of the reports of the UN Secretary-General and Security Council resolutions.
