Summary/Abstract: The issuance of postal stamps (and accompanying postal effects), being an exclusive attribute of a sovereign state, is one of the means by which it can (semi)officially contest another country’s sovereignty over certain territories. Such informational aggressions, especially if perpetrated over long periods of time, generate, strengthen and perpetuate tensions between the respective states. If ignored or unsuccessfully managed by the relevant international organizations, these can escalate into cultural, economic and outright military conflicts, which in our interconnected world pose great dangers to the peace and stability of all states.
