Summary/Abstract: The text problematizes the transformation of geopolitics as an old discipline of political science into a relatively new geopolitics determined by global social changes at the end of the 20th century. and the beginning of the 21st century. The possibility of creating a "new geopolitics" within the framework of globalism and globalization is considered. In this context, they want to show changes in the relationship between space and politics, of course, as part of the theory of globalization of politics and the transformation of the nation-state. Then there is a discussion about geopolitical actors, ideologies and conflicts on a global level, with a special focus on energy sources, namely oil and water.
