Summary/Abstract: The reputation of political parties among the Croatian public has been very low for a long time. This stems from the assessment that all relevant political parties in Croatia today, which have been in power for a certain period of time in the last six years, not a single one has shown sufficient determination and political will to resolve some of the fundamental problems of Croatian society that are causing it to develop much more slowly than it should and could. Political parties are generally perceived by the general public as groups of citizens who, by participating in political life, primarily pursue their own interests. They are also perceived as professionally and politically incompetent and therefore insufficiently effective.
