Summary/Abstract: Climate change represents one of the biggest challenges that the world has been facing for several decades, and which will become more intense in the coming period. Agricultural production is a sector that is directly exposed to the impact of climate change, but also has a significant contribution to its occurrence. Research data indicate the worrying negative effects of climate change, which are reflected in the reduction of agricultural yields, the greater intensity of which is expected in the coming decades. The starting point of the research is the analysis of international documents in the field of climate change in search of answers to the questions of whether agricultural production is recognized as a significant contributing factor to climate change, a sector that is significantly exposed to the impact of climate change and that must be adapted to changes in climate conditions. Part of the paper is devoted to the analysis of the regulation of climate change issues within the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union. Finally, the situation in the Republic of Serbia was analyzed. One of the questions that is in special focus is whether climate change is recognized in the regulations governing agricultural production in the Republic of Serbia.
