Summary/Abstract: In the digital era technologies develop with extremely fast paces and are precondition for the inception of new global risks which contribute to the formation of the complex geopolitical and the uncertain macroeconomic environments. Such a risk is the misinformation and disinformation. It is not a new event, however during the digital era it reaches unprecedented scales, reaching wide audience. Misinformation can be focused in wide range of areas, while disinformation is with strategic character and is used for conducting political, ideological or economical purposes, which leads to significant consequences in the named areas. The effective management of the global risk distribution of misinformation and disinformation requires a comprehensive and joint efforts by both national governments as well as the international community.
