Summary/Abstract: The paper presents and analyzes the visit of the Peace Caravan of European citizens, an anti-war action carried out from 25 to 30 September 1991 on the territory of the Yugoslav state, at that time the scene of hostilities. Besides presenting its course, focus is placed on presenting the reaction of intellectuals and politicians to this peace campaign, which at the same time reflected their attitudes towards the concepts of pacifism and anti-militarism. A new viewpoint on this initiative is provided by the use of sources such as the press and especially the memories of contemporaries and direct witnesses of events through the application of oral history methods.
