Summary/Abstract: In the contemporary digital age information has become a crucial resource for every actor. The ability to analyze, process, and disseminate information effectively can determine the success or failure of military operations. The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has exemplified this reality, where both sides have utilized information warfare strategies to gain an upper hand. Overall, the lessons learned from this war highlight the need for robust information management systems and the importance of adaptability in the face of rapidly changing narratives. This article explored the concept of information advantage applying a recognized framework to understand the strategies employed by both sides. It underscores the critical role that communication plays in warfare, particularly in shaping public perception and influencing international support. The conflict has demonstrated in countless instances that the ability to control narratives and counter misinformation is paramount for achieving information superiority. As both parties have leveraged social media and traditional outlets to disseminate their viewpoints, the implications for future military engagements are profound.
