Summary/Abstract: Compliance in universities is often seen as just another load of bureaucratic impediments that need be dealt with, and yet it is a crucial component of maintaining ethical standards in higher education. Whenever the higher education establishment conducts its activities ethically, fairness, respect and integrity are prioritized in the university environment. Compliance is mainly about following rules and regulations, but what it actually and truly does is fostering an ethical academic environment. Various areas including student rights, financial operations, academic integrity, and data protection function under its umbrella, and, what proves to be of utmost importance is that these areas require strict supervision. Thus, the university not only ensures and upholds high moral standards, but also protects the interests of its community and creates a trustworthy brand
