Summary/Abstract: The preventing and combating terrorism is a very important issue for Romania’s security approach and law enforcement commitment in the framework of the international community action based on the values like global peace and security, international law, and international justice. Romania, as many other states of international society, considers terrorism a major threat to peace and security in the world and reasons that a good response of such threat requires a global action, based on the rule of law and democratic values, human rights and fundamental freedoms. This paper presents some terrorist events in the Romania’s history that have shaped the present national policies of security and defence and introduces the national means of resilience in relation with the threat of terrorism.
