Summary/Abstract: The BRICS group of nations, with their growing global influence, has shown increasing interest in the Arctic region. This paper analyzes the nature and extent of BRICS cooperation in the Arctic, with a particular focus on environmental protection and sustainable development. By examining specific case studies, this study highlights the challenges and opportunities associated with BRICS engagement in the Arctic and assesses the implications for global environmental governance.
