Summary/Abstract: The currently developed project of the historical and etymological dictionary of the Galician language ('Dicionario Histórico e Etimolóxico da Lingua Galega') is in its initial phase during which the numerous elements that will make up the dictionary’s microstructure are being adjusted. This article presents the headword testemuño, attested in 32 phonetic and graphic variants from the Middle Ages to the present day. It has a high number of occurrences (3,770), corresponding to three meanings, two of which are already present in its etymology and the third being a Romance variant. Information is given as it will appear on the platform that is being designed, with additional comments.
