Summary/Abstract: Many researchers highlight a strong relationship between the sense of meaning in work and work engagement. However, few studies address the factors that most significantly enhance employees’ sense of meaning and engagement in their professional roles. The goal of the chapter is to determine the relationship between the four sources of meaning in work (Schnell & Hoffmann, 2020) and work engagement (Schaufeli & Bakker, 2003). This chapter presents a review of the literature on the sources of meaning in work, followed by the results of quantitative research on the sources of meaning and work engagement in Polish enterprises. Research conducted on a sample of 212 employees revealed that cohesion plays a particularly important role in fostering work engagement but only three out of four sources of meaning show a positive correlation with work engagement. Finally, the “Sinntrify Your Work” tool (Hardering, 2024) is introduced, which supports sources of meaning in work at both the individual and organisational levels.
