Summary/Abstract: The article addresses the problem of logistics barriers of various natures encountered by flows implemented in logistics systems. They will be discussed in the case of the Crimean Bridge, which, to put it simply, divides instead of uniting. The tense political situation in this region led to the creation of a political and then military logistic barrier. The history of the bridge’s construction and examples of impeding flows in logistics systems will be presented. The entanglement of states’ political and military goals sometimes leads to logistical consequences. In the case of the Crimean Bridge, Russia’s goals were achieved at the expense of Ukraine’s goals. In the case of the described bridge Russia was forced to establish a land connection with Crimea after its annexation. In this context, such action is understandable, but due to the adopted bridge design, maritime navigation for merchant ships entering Ukrainian ports was significantly hampered.
