Summary/Abstract: In today's context, parent-child relationships have undergone significant transformationsunder the influence of social, economic and technological change. One of the keyissues is the emphasis on open and empathic intergenerational communication, dueto a better understanding of child psychology and the need to support emotionaldevelopment. Modern parents tend to adopt a more democratic style of parenting, based on dialog and collaboration rather than traditional strict authority. Digitaleducation also plays a central role, as children have vast access to information andtechnology, which can create a generation gap but also new opportunities to connect. However, parents face challenges such as the pressure to protect children in aglobalized environment that is also exposed to online risks. Parental authority, in thiscontext, is no longer just a form of control, but becomes a guide in the process ofresponsible child autonomy, with a focus on trust and mutual respect.
