Summary/Abstract: The author examines the reform of the special rules, according to the new Criminal Procedure Code (CPC), which are characterized by certain specificities. Their aim is to make more efficient the realization of immediate task of the criminal procedure. New main procedural rules are commented. The article also analyses the institute of summary trial in the proceedings before the first instance under Chapter Twenty-seven of CPC, which was unknown in Bulgarian criminal procedure system until now.
