Summary/Abstract: The economic and social development of society depends to a certain extent on the development and condition of the "Transport" sector. Many economic, social and demographic processes are influenced by it, in this regard analysing its condition is not a small necessity. The report presents an analysis of national indicators and trends in the development of the transport sector in the country for the period 2016-2020, emphasizing the impact of the crisis caused by COVID-19 on various types of transport. Based on the statistical information available in the separate sections of the report, a comparison was made of the pre-pandemic data and what is the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the national indicators. The various factors showing the state and supporting the development of the transport sector have been successively analysed. In the conclusion, a comparison is made between the impact of the World Economic Crisis (2008) and the COVID-19 pandemic crises (2020) on the national indicators for different types of transport. The aim of the report is to provide a baseline analysis of the state and development of the transport sector and the impact of the COVID crisis on it, on the basis of which further research can be triggered. The conclusions are drawn as a result of an analysis of publicly available statistical data for the Transport sector, the author's calculations and do not claim to be exhaustive.
