Summary/Abstract: The creation and implementation of disruptive (subversive) technologies undermines the position of some groups of people at the expense of others, which carries with it significant risks for the effective functioning and development of socio-economic systems. Many of today’s technologies have disruptive potential, leading to changes in environmental characteristics that are difficult to predict. At the centre of the changes are the people who create and introduce disruptive technologies or are threatened by them within existing production and management practices.
