Summary/Abstract: In addition to the traditional models of communication, which can already be characterized by the high complexity of approaches and representations(depending on the number of people included in the act of communication, their social position, the type of their contact in space and time, the kind of code and channel they use, the possibility of feedback, etc.), the appearance and widespread use of the Internet provide us with new possibilities and ways of making social contacts, leading to further, even more complex divisions of the existing communication models. This is especially characteristic of the social network services (e.g. Facebook), where the most complex organization and realization of communication patterns can be recognized. This paper is an attempt at identifying and sketching the main features of these models.
