Summary/Abstract: The paper is based on research results, especially on the first research phase focused on topic "Spa and tourism" organized by Department of Spa, Gastronomy and Tourism, Faculty of Philosophy and Science, Silesian University in Opava for Association of Spas. The paper is focused on analysis of current situation in Czech spa area based on chosen statistical indicators in providing of spa care services in years 2000 – 2013 and it defines visitor's and inhabitant's profiles of chosen spa resorts in Czech Republic. There is also analysis of wellness services in spa care and hotels and its importance for tourism, supported by particular indicator values obtained in specified areas in Czech Republic. Final part containssummary and describes another options and perspectives available for spa care and wellness in service offers of tourism in Czech Republic.
