Summary/Abstract: Despite the good preconditions and the availability of state laws, the problem of working with gifted children and adolescents has not yet been resolved at the required level in mass pedagogical practice. Most classical and modern studies on the topic are focused on intellectual giftedness. There are tests for diagnostics and evaluation, as well as a number of development programs depending on the respective field in which the giftedness is registered. On the other hand, the existence of sports giftedness in primary school age is rather only ascertained, without affecting the question of their development. The requirement for a unified concept characterizing sports giftedness stems from the fact that in most research on talent, sports gifts are included either as part of another giftedness or are not considered at all. The derived concept will be useful both for sports pedagogues for orientation in the scientific and methodological literature on the topic, and for parents who will be able to better understand the problems and needs of their gifted child.
