Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the memory of Teresa Iglikowska, the unquestionable pioneer of Polish glottodidactics behind the Great Wall of China who, at the beginning of her career, rose to the challenge and in 1956 started work at the Faculty of Polish in Beijing. Having returned to Poland, she worked in Polonicum until her retirement in 1983. Today her work is continued, which is proved by this publication. The book is dedicated to the precursor of teaching Polish language and culture to the Chinese as an expression of profound admiration, recognition and gratitude for this first step and effort.
