Summary/Abstract: In the theoretical aspect, Corporate Social Responsibility remains a set of independent and often competing ideas and concepts. By following the sources of interest in the concept of CSR, as well as by examining its development in chronological terms – including the way of understanding, the practice of application, and the methods of implementation in organizations – the evolutionary nature of developing the concept of corporate social responsibility can be observed by focusing on four main approaches: normative, constructive, strategic and holistic. As a part of retrospective research in the literature within the subject, the above approaches distinguish their characteristics and milestones in the development of the key concepts of corporate social responsibility.
