Summary/Abstract: The subject of the monograph is regional spatial policy discussed on the examples of south-west England, Lower Saxony and the urban regions of Bristol and Hanover. The case studies contain a description of the planning system, detailed goals, planning concepts and instruments used in the spatial policy of shaping the concentration of settlement, with particular emphasis on the situation for 2015. As a result of the analysis of the collected material, the author formulates conclusions in the form of recommendations for modification of the Polish planning system and the native spatial policy. A valuable supplement to this publication are dictionaries of planning terms: English-Polish and German-Polish. The publication is addressed to practitioners and theoreticians of spatial planning and town planning, people responsible for creating spatial policy and spatial development plans, as well as researchers, lecturers and students of spatial management.
