Summary/Abstract: A unique report on exploratory research conducted in 2012 among patients in Warsaw surgeries, with the use of original research tools. The presented material allows to show informative behaviours, the context of decisions taken and the incentives to search for information regarding health. The report shows the demand for developing informative health competences; it also reveals attempts, characteristic of human kind, to avoid considerable effort, also in information sphere.
