Summary/Abstract: An attempt to interpret the space of intimacy and privacy from the perspective of common and academic reality. In the first part, the author discusses theoretical issues in four thematic sections: intimacy, privacy, body, and sex. In the second, empirical one, the author presents the findings of a qualitative analysis of studies on the intimate relations in relationships between adult partners.
