Summary/Abstract: The monograph entitled The Child in Preschool. A challenge for education concerns problems in the child's world, in connection with the necessary changes related to his education. The authors analyze these necessary changes in the category of challenges for adults: parents and teachers, people interested in the development and education of children aged 3 to 6. In their areas of interest included topics: the child's social-emotional development and its support, a mental tool that changes in an uncertain world, developing awareness of the child's language, bilingualism, cooperation with parents and the use of child supervision, the child's participation in reading and the use of teaching children through contact with the book. In each of the seven chapters, the authors take up one issue - one challenge. They characterize it in the light of current theoretical and research results and also propose solutions for educational practice in the form of inspiration, tips, good practices, games, tools for working with children, helpful literature, etc. The book is intended to serve all those interested in taking up reflection on good quality education for the youngest and action resulting from in-depth reflection to create education that is good for the child. "
