Summary/Abstract: This publication deals with the specificity of alcohol addiction in women, which is linked to the crimes they commit and the custodial sentences they serve, while simultaneously being placed in a therapy unit. The primary focus of the research is the functioning of therapy units for female prisoners addicted to alcohol. The original research project was conducted in three such units, located in penitentiary facilities in Krzywaniec, Grudziądz, and Rzeszów. This monograph may serve as inspiration for practitioners working with alcohol-addicted individuals in correctional institutions and as a source of information for students of pedagogy, psychology, and criminology."
