Summary/Abstract: The concept of criminal law protection of the financial interests of the European Union should not be viewed exclusively through the provisions of substantive criminal legislation, but in a broader sense through all measures undertaken with the aim of their protection. These are both criminal procedural and operational measures that are taken on the territory of the member states in order to conduct proceedings against the perpetrators of criminal acts to the detriment of the Union's financial interests.
