Summary/Abstract: The aim of this publication is to provide an insight into the scope and diversity of the work of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Serbia since its establishment 10 years ago. The Helsinki Committee is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, which is a full member of the International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights. The Board's mandate is to monitor whether the state respects its obligations arising from the Helsinki Final Act related to human rights. In addition, the Helsinki Committee collects information and documents on the state of human rights in Serbia. Any threat to human rights is at the same time a threat to security, and therefore concern for their respect and even more for their violation is the responsibility of the international community.
