Summary/Abstract: Transition is a process of in-depth, structural adjustment of all segments of social life to predetermined international, political, economic and legal standards. It is difficult to imagine a more subtle question on the European path of Montenegro that opens up a whole series of legal-ethical and essentially cultural dilemmas and which so deeply cuts the system, on the appearance of conflicting social values, such as the need for a balanced approach in the protection of media freedom, as an aspect of freedom of expression and the protection of the rights of personality, privacy, honor and reputation, which the exit of the media outside the sphere of protected freedom can threaten, and sometimes seriously injure.
