Summary/Abstract: A feasibility study whose goal is to analyze the possibilities of applying European models of local partnerships that can contribute to solving socio-economic problems in local communities in Serbia. It defines the concept of local partnership and presents its forms, provides a European overview of the principles and mechanisms of local partnership with examples from the European Union, as well as the historical, legal and political aspects of public involvement in Serbia in decision-making processes at the local level. Also, the readiness of local communities that were involved in the implementation of the project for the formation of local partnerships was analyzed, along with recommendations for the future development of local partnerships in Serbia.
