Summary/Abstract: The sentence that begins the series of over four hundred pages of the Action Plan for Chapter 231, drawn up at the end of 2015, speaks of the direction that Serbia and its political structures have chosen, clearly opting for European integration. Emphasis is then placed on the adoption of laws and regulations, but also on the implementation of the adopted regulations, thus rounding off the obligations of the state that wants to carry out reforms and thus become an equal member of the European Union. This sentence reveals to us, like numerous later parts of the Action Plan, that the accession process will be far from a "ticking" process, but will require clear indicators of progress, as well as the sustainability of such a state. The adoption of the law is an important step, but not the only one that will interest the Brussels administration, are the messages we heard at a series of meetings and visits of high-ranking officials from Brussels.
